I only mix up herb butter enough for one dinner's usage. I never thought about making it this way and storing it. Great tip!

I do some organizing for people as a small home business. Almost everybody has multiples of their spices. Thanks!

I never thought about combining spices when cleaning out my cabinets. I have too many spices, and still come up short sometimes when I'm cooking. I think I'm going to combine some this weekend.

Rosemary on a tomato sounds great. This is the time of year when you can find really good tomatoes! Thanks for posting.

Rosemary is my absolute fav herb too. I love it on potatoes (drizzle a little olive oil sliced potatoes then sprinkle the rosemary on top and let them bake in the over), and big tomatoes halved with salt and rosemary on the top also baked in the oven (flat side up). Mmmm!

Ooh I'd love to try the Apple Spice one. I love baking, but just moved so I have nothing to bake with. Hopefully once I have bought a couch and a bed, I can start to focus on getting my pantry stocked with baking supplies. =)

I've heard about people saving every little bit and then making a mystery soup out of it. I've never tried this!

Great post. We just started saving our leftovers this year. We use to throw things away and one day I just thought to myself “what in the heck am I doing?” So, we now save it. My daughter and I stay at home, so we usually have leftovers for lunch. If my partner can take something to work that is convenient he will.
